The Eastern Sierras (the east side of the Sierra Nevada range) is really special. Imposing snow-capped mountains, glacier-carved valleys, and alpine lakes and streams combine to make a region filled with spectacular scenery and countless opportunities for adventure. The region also sports some great opportunities for photography, particularly in the fall, when you’ll find some of the most amazing fall color displays you can imagine. Fall colors are different here compared to the east coast, but that doesn’t mean they’re less impressive.
