Home to one of New Zealand’s most famous sites, people flock to the Southland to visit Milford Sound. It’s one of the must-see sites in New Zealand, and shouldn’t be missed, but we prefer Milford’s more remote neighbor, Doubtful Sound, and highly recommend a trip through the Catlins for some pure New Zealand scenery (and fewer tourists).
