We need to try these again in better weather, because it was very rainy when we came to see them and there must be better views to be had. Spending so much time in the US Southwest has made us think hoodoos are less novel than most other people would, so it’s hard to tell if other people would think these are really worthwhile. But it’s a very easy stop – just drive out the Tunnel Mountain Road until you come to the signed parking area, then stroll out the walkway to where you can see them. The walkway continues on, so perhaps there’s more cool stuff if you follow it, but we didn’t go very far. There also may be a Hoodoos Trail somewhere that goes through the valley along the river to the hoodoos, but we didn’t find that either. We’ll have a better look next time.
