There’s something about sunrise and balloons. I love how silent they are; it seems like the perfect transportation mode for this time of the day. I even loved watching the balloons be prepared in the pre-dawn light. But once you’re in the air, it’s really special. The memory of watching the sun come up over the Irrawaddy River and shedding that beautiful, pale light on the ancient temples of Old Bagan is something that makes my heart swell to this day.
