Some people say this is the best trail in Big Sur. I’m not sure that I would go that far, but it is a very nice trail. And it does offer a very nice cross section of different scenery – deep, cool forest, nice redwoods, some uphill sections with sweeping coastal views and rolling hills. if you get lucky, you might see a California Condor – they supposedly roost near one of the side spur trails about halfway along the route. We haven’t seen one, but that doesn’t mean you won’t!
