Red Tape/Notes: Park is open at 6am and closes between 5pm and 7pm depending on time of year; entrance fee is $7 per vehicle. This trail can be accessed from various parking lots – pick your starting location based on your mission.

This is the first area you’ll come to if you’re taking the scenic drive – they’re the notable red rock hills on the right. This area provides access for many sport climbing routes (something like 250 different routes – route descriptions on this website), which is why we were here, but the area would also be quite enjoyable just for rock hopping and exploring. There are heaps of other climbing areas and routes in Red Rock Canyon, so if you can’t find something you like here, then there are other options. Because, you know, 250 might not be enough.
