Red Tape/Notes: The park is open 24 hours a day; park passes are $30 per vehicle and are valid for 7 days. The trail is most easily accessed from the Zion Canyon Shuttle, stop #7 (Weeping Rock Trailhead).

I’ll probably be struck by lightning for saying this, since Weeping Rock is a landmark of the park, but I felt somewhat “meh” about it. If you’re looking for adventure, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for something pleasant and rather relaxing, this is a good choice. The trail is very quick, leading up a largely gradual incline to an alcove where the water “weeps” through the walls, providing the necessary moisture to support a nice hanging garden of ferns. Sufficient water weeps through above the alcove that it produces a steady curtain of rain at the front edge; it’s quite pleasant to sit inside the dry alcove and enjoy the views through the curtain of rain. I definitely think it’s worth a stop if you’re on the way back from one of the other trails (Hidden Canyon, for example).
