This is a great little stop if you’re interested in petroglyphs/rock art. Along the main highway through the park, about 1 mile east of the visitor’s center, you’ll pass a sign indicating the petroglyphs. A boardwalk has been erected to provide easy viewing along the length of the cliffs, where the various human and animal shapes can easily be seen. The art is clearest in areas where it’s been sheltered from rain and sun, but it’s still clearly visible all along the cliff, with the exception of the areas where the cliff walls have clearly broken off, taking the art with it.
