If you’re looking something active to do (which we pretty much always are), you can do some fairly entertaining kayaking around the “back-country” of Key West, through the mangroves. Many companies offer clear kayaks which make it possible to see what’s happening underneath you (sort of…it’s not like it’s super clear most of the time, but it’s better than nothing). I quite like paddling along the mangrove creeks into little tunnels and squeezing out the other side, and you often see some interesting wildlife.
