The Chihuly Collection at the Morean arts center is a magnificent permanent display of artist Dale Chihuly’s glass work. The exhibition is made even better by the fact that the building was constructed for this purpose, and thus the architecture and layout were designed specifically to showcase certain pieces- the building essentially becomes an active part of the exhibit. Although we’re self-admitted glass dorks (hey, everyone’s gotta have some weird hobby, right?), I feel like it would take someone completely devoid of artistic interest not to think this collection is stunning. You can also visit the Glass Studio and Hot Shop, next door, and watch a demo of how glass work is done.
