Culp Valley is a great bouldering spot, particularly in the spring and fall (summer is kind of rough, due to the heat), but also in the winter, so long as you avoid the occasional storms and high winds. It’s located right off the main road (the S22) to Borrego Springs, and if you’ve ever driven that way before, you’ve probably noticed this area. Large boulders are scattered on both the right and left sides of the road in a flat plain, with the Windy Boulders on the right side being the most obvious. There are over 250 boulder problems here, and there’s something for every level, making this a great place to stop for a quick break on your way to other adventures, or to spend the whole day.
