The Banff National Park area is a winter wonderland (and a summer wonderland, as well, apparently, although we have to take people’s word for it). We can definitely vouch for the winter though – there are wonderful opportunities for winter hikes, snow shoeing, and cross country skiing, as well as several great ski resorts and two fabulous historic hotels offering unique activities and adventures of their own.
