The less-visited North Rim of the Grand Canyon has some spectacular sites to offer, and is a great option when it’s hot elsewhere in the region, since its high elevation makes for cooler temperatures. It’s also a great option for a combined visit with some of the other sites in Northern Arizona and Southern Utah, being close enough to Lake Powell and Kanab to do as a day trip.
