If you’re interested in horseback riding, it’s really fun to go for a ride on an Icelandic horse. First of all, they’re fuzzy and adorable (they’re clearly bred for this climate), and second, Icelandic horses have a specific gait called the Tölt, which is between a walk and a trot and is quite fun to experience. The Eldhestar facility is beautifully located in a valley offering access to beaches, hot springs, and rivers, meaning a ride offers you the opportunity to see some beautiful countryside in a different way.
