If you like Ernest Hemingway, historic houses, adorable three-toed cats, or any combination of these, the Hemingway Home is a great stop for you! Aside from being a lovely classical island style home with pretty gardens (all of which you can tour), it was also the residence of Hemingway and his family for nearly ten years, after which he moved to Cuba and his family stayed in the home for another ten years. And then of course there are the cats. Apparently Hemingway was a cat guy, and had several cats, including his favorite (called Snow White), who was a six-toed cat. There are cats all over the place at the Hemingway Home and loads of them have six toes. I think it’s adorable.
