Tangle Creek Falls
Epic Travel → North America → Canada → Jasper National Park → Tangle Creek Falls
Location: Southern Jasper National Park, Alberta
Time Required: 15 minutes
Red Tape/Notes: Entry into Jasper requires a daily fee of about $10 per person (or ~$20 per family/group); alternatively, you can buy a Parks Canada Discovery Pass if you’re staying for an extended time.
What’s Nearby?: Weeping Wall, Toe of the Athabasca Glacier, Sunwapta Falls
We didn’t plan to stop here (we had no idea it even existed) but it’s pretty difficult to miss the massive cascading waterfall right at the edge of the road, particularly given the heavy rains the region had been experiencing when we were here. There is an unofficial footpath that goes up to the top level of the falls so you can have a look at what’s up there, but mostly this is just a stop to have a nice long look at an impressive waterfall.
