Southwest Iceland

This part of the country contains the most frequently visited sites: Reykjavik and the sites on the Golden Circle. While these are certainly worth visiting, there’s a lot more to be found, including a fantastic waterfall hike, horseback riding, and the entirety of the oft-neglected Reykjanes Peninsula, where you’ll get a spectacular look into Iceland’s volcanic and geothermal roots.
