We spent less than 48 hours in Iowa to attend our friends’ wedding in Iowa City. Sure, we could have stayed in our hotel room and binge watched Law and Order SVU, but that’s not really our style. Instead, we went out and found a couple of great spots, just to prove all the “middle of nowhere” haters wrong. And yes, we ended up getting ready for the wedding in the bathroom of a gas station Subway restaurant and people definitely thought we were homeless, but hey…sometimes sacrifices must be made.
