Brevard is an unbelievably quaint town with an adorable downtown area including shops like the O.P. Taylor toy store and the quirky White Squirrel Shoppe, a souvenir boutique inspired by the rare white squirrels they have in the area. There are 250 waterfalls in the area, and we haven’t spent nearly enough time here to see even a significant portion of them. With great hiking options in both Pisgah National Forest and DuPont State Forest, and climbing options at Looking Glass Rock, Brevard is a great place to break for lunch or even to stay for a week.
