East of Los Angeles is a wonderland of isolation, where you can find ghost towns (both old and new), and amazing desert landscapes that come alive with wildflowers in the spring. Some people go to the desert to relax by a pool. We obviously don’t do that – there are way too many places to explore! You can find great climbing and neat hikes in Joshua Tree, polo and wildflowers in Indio, aweird places like Zzyzx, and more!
