Devil’s Garden is a gem of a stop – it has a wonderful variety of really neat rock formations, including two arches (Metate and Mano) and some great hoodoos, including The Four Wise Men. The hoodoos here are different from those seen in places like Queen’s Garden in Bryce because these stand somewhat alone, looking more like Easter Island heads than rows of soldiers. This is a great place for photography, particularly late in the day and at night. It’s so dark out here you can take wonderfully clear shots of the Milky Way and have lots of fun with light painting on the rock formations. We spent hours our here one night in July, but if you’ve only got a few minutes, you can easily see the area in 30 minutes.
